We're looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at The Old Queen's Head.
The Old Queen's Head is an award-winning North London pub that moves between great food, proper pints and late nights. We serve one of the area's most popular Sunday roasts, we've recently launched our in-house pizza concept Hot Saint, and our club room hosts DJs and late-night parties throughout the week.
It's a pub with a lot going on. A busy kitchen, high standards, and a team that takes real pride in what they do. We're looking for someone reliable, hardworking and switched on who wants to be part of a fast-paced kitchen and play a key role behind the scenes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
