Harvey Nichols is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team in the Bristol store. Known for exceptional food and service, our restaurants thrive behind the scenes thanks to hardworking kitchen teams. As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a key role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly, supporting our chefs to deliver outstanding dining experiences every day.

This is a part-time position working 20 hours a week, including weekends.

About the role…

  • Support the kitchen team in delivering a five-star, premium dining experience
  • Prepare and operate the dishwasher to ensure fast, efficient turnaround of crockery and cutlery
  • Manage the pot wash area throughout service, ensuring it runs smoothly at all times
  • Collect used kitchen equipment (pans, trays, utensils) and return them clean and correctly stored
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and care to reduce damage and breakages
  • Form a productive relationship with FOH, bar staff, and stock movement, communicating regularly to allow smooth operations
  • Effectively manage waste, ensuring guidelines are followed
