Harvey Nichols is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team in the Bristol store. Known for exceptional food and service, our restaurants thrive behind the scenes thanks to hardworking kitchen teams. As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a key role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly, supporting our chefs to deliver outstanding dining experiences every day.
This is a part-time position working 20 hours a week, including weekends.
About the role…
- Support the kitchen team in delivering a five-star, premium dining experience
- Prepare and operate the dishwasher to ensure fast, efficient turnaround of crockery and cutlery
- Manage the pot wash area throughout service, ensuring it runs smoothly at all times
- Collect used kitchen equipment (pans, trays, utensils) and return them clean and correctly stored
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and care to reduce damage and breakages
- Form a productive relationship with FOH, bar staff, and stock movement, communicating regularly to allow smooth operations
- Effectively manage waste, ensuring guidelines are followed

- Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment is preferred
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality
- A team-focused approach, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
