About The Role
Berkeley Scott seeks dependable Kitchen Porters for temporary assignments across commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels and catering teams in the City of London. Working varied shifts, the successful candidate handles pot wash, dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen equipment, while upholding strict food hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards. Duties include supporting chefs with basic food preparation, managing waste and recycling, and keeping preparation areas tidy and organised. Applicants must follow food safety, allergen, HACCP and health and safety procedures. A minimum of one year's UK experience as a Kitchen Porter, KP or Kitchen Assistant is essential. Pay ranges from £12.71 to £14.80 per hour plus holiday pay, depending on experience.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porters (KPs) to join busy commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels and catering teams in Central London.
MUST HAVE 1 YEAR’S KITCHEN EXPERIENCE IN THE UK.
- Pay: £12.71–£14.80 per hour + holiday pay, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Pot wash, dishwashing and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Maintain high food hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards
- Support chefs with basic food preparation
- Manage kitchen waste and recycling
- Keep kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
- Follow food safety, allergen, HACCP and health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year’s UK experience as a Kitchen Porter, KP or Kitchen Assistant
- Level 2 Food Safety / Food Hygiene Certificate
- Knowledge of food allergens and safe food handling
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, hotel or catering experience preferred
