Full Time – Permanent (40 hours per week)
Shift Patterns:
Monday-Friday 06:30-14:30/14:30-10:30 & Weekends 10:00-18:00
Salary: £25,720 + excellent benefits

How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen
As a Kitchen Porter, you will support the delivery of a high-quality food service by maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout the kitchen operation. Working closely with chefs and the wider catering team, you'll help ensure a safe, efficient and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, clean and sanitise crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen utensils efficiently.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness across all kitchen areas, including floors, storage areas and waste zones.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Receive and store deliveries safely, ensuring correct stock rotation and storage practices.
- Manage waste disposal in line with company procedures and environmental standards.
- Complete cleaning schedules and records accurately and on time.
- Ensure all equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages promptly.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and infection prevention procedures.
- Report hazards, incidents or equipment faults immediately.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen operation.

Key Skills / Qualifications
Essential
- Ability to work effectively within a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual and committed approach to work.
- Ability to follow processes, procedures and instructions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically capable of manual handling duties and standing for extended periods.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or within a similar catering environment.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and food safety standards.
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
