Kitchen Porter

Pay: £13.75 per hour

Location: Aspire Lounge at Edinburgh Airport

Contract: 32 hours per week

Job Summary

The Kitchen Porter reports to the Team Leader and is a key member of the back-of-house team, assisting the Cook and Store team to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded, so they leave our lounges feeling Welcome, Relaxed & Energised.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading of the dishwasher.
  • Receive and store stock delivery and rotation.
  • Waste away services following recycling procedures.
  • Restocking of cleaned crockery.
  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene in all areas.
  • Assist the chef with retrieving stock required.
  • Assist the Chef with applying the Food Safety Management System consistently.
  • Adhoc reasonable requests by the local leadership team.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Competences:

  • Background in kitchen environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or be self-motivated to complete tasks.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures and to apply flexibility when required.
  • Flexible to work shifts covering 0330 – 2100, 7 days a week.
