Miznon London is a casual Mediterranean street food concept created by chef Eyal Shani, focused on feeding guests’ hearts and souls with bold, vibrant flavors. Originating in Tel Aviv in 2011, Miznon has expanded globally to cities including Paris, Vienna, Singapore, Dubai, Melbourne, and locations across the United States, arriving in London in 2021 with restaurants in Soho and Notting Hill. Role Description

The Kitchen Porter is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and overall guest experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment;
  • Maintaining clean and organized food preparation areas;
  • Assisting chefs with basic food prep such as washing, peeling, and portioning ingredients.

The role also involves managing waste and recycling, ensuring proper hygiene and safety standards are followed, and regularly cleaning floors, surfaces, and storage areas. The Kitchen Porter may help with receiving and storing deliveries, refilling stock, and occasionally supporting the front-of-house team to keep service running efficiently during busy periods.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills in Food Preparation and basic Cooking, with an interest in Mediterranean street food.
  • Firm understanding of Hygiene and food safety standards, including cleaning procedures and proper storage practices.
  • Experience or familiarity with Food & Beverage operations in a busy restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
  • Ability to provide supportive Customer Service by working effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
  • Willingness to follow instructions, learn quickly, and adapt to changing service needs.
  • Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a back-of-house hospitality role is beneficial but not essential.
