The opportunity
Delaware North UK is hiring a casual Kitchen Porter to join our team at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be assisting the kitchen team with dishwashing and other culinary back-of-house tasks. Pay
The expected pay for this role is £14.24 / hour

What will you do?
- Wash all crockery, cutlery, and light equipment using industrial machines, as well as hand washing larger items in designated sinks
- Assist the culinary team to ensure smooth and effective catering service within the restaurant
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in food preparation and service areas
- Assist with deliveries and ensure stock is replenished from stores and the kitchen as needed
- Follow appropriate health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines, maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence
More About You
- No degree required
- Strong skills in verbal communications, organisation, time management, attention to detail, and teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Previous experience in a catering kitchen is beneficial
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Comfortable handling various meat products
- Availability to attend shifts for prep days, as well as matchdays and event days, due to events-based nature of roles
