Overview
Delaware North UK is hiring a casual Kitchen Porter to join our team at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. As Kitchen Porter, you will be assisting the collaborative kitchen team assist with dishwashing and other culinary back-of-house tasks. Responsibilities
- Wash all crockery, cutlery, and light equipment using industrial machines, as well as hand washing larger items in designated sinks
- Assist the culinary team to ensure smooth and effective catering service within the restaurant
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in food preparation and service areas
- Assist with deliveries and ensure stock is replenished from stores and the kitchen as needed
- Follow appropriate health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines, maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence
Qualifications
- No degree required
- Strong skills in verbal communications, organisation, time management, attention to detail, and teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Previous experience in a catering kitchen is beneficial
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Comfortable handling various meat products
- Availability to attend shifts for prep days, as well as matchdays and event days, due to events-based nature of roles
Hourly Minimum Rate
GBP £12.24/Hourly
