We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Kitchen Porter Supervisor to join our kitchen team at Gaia, one of London’s leading luxury restaurants.
This is a key role within the kitchen operation, ideal for someone who takes pride in organisation, cleanliness, and leading by example in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
The Role
As Kitchen Porter Supervisor, you will oversee the stewarding team and ensure the kitchen operates smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll work closely with the senior kitchen team to maintain impeccable standards of hygiene, efficiency, and support throughout service.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the kitchen porter team during service
- Ensure all cleaning, washing, and waste procedures are carried out efficiently
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times
- Support the kitchen brigade with basic prep and organisation when required
- Manage equipment, dishwashers, and cleaning schedules
- Train and motivate junior kitchen porters
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and HACCP standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter Supervisor or senior KP in a busy restaurant
- Strong work ethic and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Ability to lead, organise, and motivate a team
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Eligible to live and work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
