Kitchen Sales Designer

Location: Billericay, Essex

Salary: £35,000 basic salary + commission on every sale

OTE: £60,000+

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented, motivated and creative Kitchen Sales Designer to join their team in Billericay, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced kitchen designer or sales professional with a genuine passion for providing the best kitchens and service. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, create inspiring kitchen designs and guide them through the complete process, from the initial consultation through to the final sale.

Our client's kitchens are designed to combine luxury, style and functionality, and they are looking for someone who can translate a customer's ideas and lifestyle into exceptional, bespoke kitchen solutions.

With a competitive basic salary of £35,000 plus commission and an OTE of £60,000+, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is commercially driven and wants to build a successful career within the luxury kitchen and interiors sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and consult with customers to understand their lifestyle, requirements, tastes and budget.
  • Create beautiful, practical and bespoke kitchen designs tailored to each customer.
  • Produce professional kitchen plans, layouts and presentations.
  • Take accurate measurements and assess customer spaces where required.
  • Present design concepts confidently and professionally to customers.
  • Recommend suitable kitchens, worktops, appliances, finishes, accessories and other products.
  • Manage the customer journey from initial enquiry through to order completion.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and provide an outstanding level of service.
  • Prepare quotations and negotiate confidently to secure sales.
  • Follow up enquiries and design proposals to maximise conversion opportunities.
  • Achieve individual sales and revenue targets.
  • Work closely with suppliers, installers and internal teams to ensure projects progress smoothly.
  • Keep up to date with current kitchen, interior design and product trends.

About You

Our client is looking for someone who combines creativity with strong commercial and customer service skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in kitchen design, kitchen sales, interiors, fitted furniture or a similar design-led sales environment.
  • A strong eye for detail and a passion for high-quality design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The confidence to meet customers, present ideas and close sales.
  • A consultative approach to selling, with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A commercially focused mindset and motivation to achieve targets.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using design and quotation software.
  • Experience with kitchen design and quoting software is required.
