Role: Kitchen Steward – Pre-Opening Team Member
Before the official grand opening, you’ll be part of a dedicated pre-opening team, critical to ensuring seamless operations, flawless kitchen readiness, and ratio frequencies aligned with the hotel’s uncompromising luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires the maintenance of front and backhouse kitchen standards to the highest expectations of luxury service:
- Stock & Inventories Control: Organise, track, and ensure all inventory—from high-end produce to premium ingredients—is precisely managed to support the hotel’s commitment to exceptional dining experiences.
- Staff Coordination: Support kitchen team facilitation, ensuring cohesive workflows during pre-opening diagnostics.
- Linen & Cleanliness: Oversee the spotless and professional presentation of all kitchen and subsidiary areas—Linens, glassware, cutlery, and diningroom equipment must reflect our pinnacle of luxury standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Pre-opening equipment checks to ensure bakeware, grills, dough sheeters, refrigeration, dishes, glassware storage, and other facilities are ready to deliver Michelin-level service.
- Vendor & Logistics Support: Work closely with suppliers—from jewelries suppliers to delivery teams—to ensure seamless transition into the brand-new operations.
- Sustainability Practice: Champion Hilton’s sustainability initiatives, guiding efforts in food waste reduction, ethical sourcing, and eco-friendly practices within kitchen operations.
- Event Preparedness: Verify readiness for signature events, private dinners, and systems checks in alignment with Luxury Service Standards set by the brand.

Candidate Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, preferably in high-end restaurant kitchens (fine dining or hotel food service).
- Exceptional organisation, multitasking, and coordination skills to meet deadlines under pre-opening pressure.
- Passion for range, quality, and service excellence—with impeccable sensory acuity for ingredients.
- Strong comprehension of food safety, hygiene, and sustainability standards within luxury dining.
- Proven communication with cross-functional teams (purchasing, marketing, operations).
- Flexibility & adaptability are essential—working hours vary significantly during pre-opening and early phase launch.
