Role Overview
As Kitchen Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in helping to lead our team of chefs to success. Working closely with the Food, Beverage & Kitchen Manager, you will maintain high standards in service, hygiene, and efficiency across all aspects of the kitchen. From food preparation to staff mentorship, your expertise will ensure a seamless and high-quality dining experience to wow every guest.

Salary: £26187 (£30326 FTE)
Hours: 35 over 5 days
Mixture of mornings & evenings
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KITCHEN TEAM LEADER AT OUR HOTEL
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support all chefs in daily operations
- Ensure dish quality, presentation, and consistency meet the expectations of guests and the hotel
- Assist with stock planning, control and ordering
- Maintain health & safety and food hygiene practices across the department to deliver exceptional audit scores
- Assist with menu development across breakfast, dinner and events
- Train and mentor chefs, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Work closely with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Monitor kitchen financial performance and working with the FBK manager implement cost-control measures to aid the department to deliver against budget
What We Need From You
- Previous chef experience in a kitchen leadership role or ready to take the next step in your development
- Strong team management and communication skills
- Positive can-do approach
- Passion for high-quality food and service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment on own or as part of a team
- Confident to deliver up to date food safety and hygiene regulations
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
