In this role, you will play a part in creating a welcoming environment for every member and guest while preparing fresh food and drinks to the highest standards. Whether you're serving customers, preparing meals, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, or supporting your colleagues, you'll play an important role in delivering an outstanding member experience every day.
The Role
- Deliver warm, friendly, and genuine service to every member and guest.
- Prepare food and beverages to brand recipes and presentation standards.
- Process customer orders and payments accurately using POS systems.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of menu items, promotions, allergens, and nutritional information.
- Recommend products and provide an exceptional customer experience through confident service.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
- Complete opening, closing, preparation, and temperature check procedures accurately.
- Follow allergen procedures and prevent cross-contamination throughout food preparation.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment, including dining areas, counters, and displays.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across both the Food & Beverage and Virgin Active teams to deliver a seamless member experience.
- Support the training of new team members and contribute to maintaining Virgin Active brand standards.

Who We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or food service environment is desirable.
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Food Allergy and Intolerance Training.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, positive, and reliable approach to work.
- Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Pay Range
£12.71—£13.10 GBP
