Car & Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Castleford, West Yorkshire | OTE up to £39,900 | Permanent

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Car & Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join the Aftersales team in Castleford.

  • You’ll be working in a professional workshop environment, with the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, work on modern vehicles and continue progressing your career.
  • During your first 12 months, you’ll receive training towards IMI Level 3 in Electric Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, helping to ensure your skills remain relevant as vehicle technology continues to evolve.

The Role

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across cars and commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
  • Deliver high standards of technical advice, service and maintenance.
  • Complete work efficiently and accurately to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Develop your technical knowledge through ongoing training, including electric vehicle technology.
  • Work as part of a professional and supportive Aftersales team.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

  • Previous experience working as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability.
  • A professional approach to vehicle maintenance, repair and customer safety.

  • Previous main dealership experience.
  • Experience working on both cars and commercial vehicles.
  • Manufacturer experience.
  • Existing EV or hybrid vehicle experience.
  • A genuine interest in developing your technical skills as vehicle technology evolves.
