About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Forensic Rehab Ward of Royal Cornhill Hospital for an enthusiastic registered mental health nurse who is keen to enhance/develop their clinical skills in this specialist environment. This post will be required for 11 months full time hours to cover maternity leave, and the successful candidate would be expected to follow a rotational shift pattern consisting of day and night shift.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to providing high quality evidence-based care and support to clients who experience a diverse range of mental health issues within the Forensic Services.
- Provide care through a progressive patient focused approach, within a therapeutic environment and underpinned by risk assessment and management that will maximise the individual’s potential.

Requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- A good understanding of current drivers and legislation.
- Motivated to work as a member of the team supporting a positive and therapeutic culture focused on the needs of the patient group.
- A member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Additional Information
- Interviews will take place on 14 September 2026.
- An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
