Job Opportunity: Band 4 Medical Secretary
An opportunity has arisen within Aberdeenshire Older Adult Mental Health for a Band 4 Medical Secretary. This is a permanent part-time post based at Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver a fully comprehensive medical secretarial and administrative service to Consultant Psychiatrists. They will work autonomously but should also be a confident team player who is able to work with minimal supervision and possess the ability to prioritise their daily workload to meet service demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive medical secretarial and administrative service
- Work autonomously and as a team player
- Prioritize daily workload to meet service demands
- Audio typing
- Referral processing
- Booking appointments using Trak
Requirements
- Motivated and reliable individual
- Ability to be flexible and support colleagues during periods of leave
- Previous medical secretarial experience
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to touch type with experience of audio typing
- Excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and a sensitive approach to dealing with patients
- Strong computer skills; experience of NHS systems is highly desirable
