An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker/Phlebotomist to join our dedicated team, working 30 hours per week. The post holder will be required to work across Monday to Friday, including public holidays as part of the service rota.
We are looking for an individual who is committed to delivering a high standard of safe, compassionate, and effective care and who has a genuine interest in supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines clinical, administrative, and coordination responsibilities. As well as undertaking venepuncture using the Vacutainer system, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the service. This includes:

- Managing appointments
- Maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with Community Mental Health Teams and pharmacy colleagues
- Communicating regularly with patients by telephone to provide information and coordinate care
The role would suit someone who enjoys both direct patient contact and the organizational aspects of healthcare delivery. Strong communication, time management, and administrative skills are essential, as the post holder will often prioritize competing demands while working independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure, use initiative, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Good computer literacy and keyboard skills are essential.
