Job Opportunity: Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Ward Nurse

Are you a newly graduated nurse ready to begin your career in a supportive, patient-centred environment? Fyvie Ward offers an excellent opportunity to complete your Flying Start NHS programme while developing the knowledge, skills and confidence required for a successful nursing career.

About Fyvie Ward

Fyvie Ward is an adult acute mental health inpatient ward at Royal Cornhill Hospital, caring for individuals experiencing a range of acute mental health needs. The ward forms part of NHS Grampian's inpatient mental health service and provides person-centred, recovery-focused care within a multidisciplinary team environment. Fyvie Ward operates with 18 beds and supports patients from across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Orkney.

Role and Responsibilities

As a newly qualified nurse, you will be supported through Flying Start NHS, receiving structured learning, mentorship and development opportunities to help you transition confidently from student to registered practitioner. You will work alongside experienced nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, safe and effective care that places patients and their families at the heart of everything we do.

Requirements

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and caring individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and who are keen to develop their career within mental health nursing.

Relocation Allowance

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates
