USED CAR SALES MANAGER
Exeter | £35K Basic + £60K OTE UNCAPPED | Monday–Saturday | 1 Day Off During The Week
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to take ownership of a busy used car operation and play a key part in its next stage of growth.
With 3 franchises currently within the business and further expansion planned, this is a great opportunity for someone with strong used car experience who wants to make their mark.
THE OPPORTUNITY

You’ll be responsible for leading the used car operation, managing approximately 60–90 used vehicles and driving performance across the department.

Used car experience is key for this role, so we’re looking for someone who understands the full process from stock acquisition and preparation through to pricing, presentation, sales and profitability.

- £35K basic salary
- £60K OTE
- Monday–Saturday
- 1 day off during the week

THE ROLE
- Lead and manage the used car sales team, setting clear expectations and driving performance
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a 60–90 car used vehicle department
- Monitor sales, profit, stock turn and departmental KPIs
- Manage used vehicle pricing, preparation and presentation to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure stock is managed effectively and vehicles are moved through the business efficiently
- Coach and develop the sales team to improve performance and conversion
- Work closely with the wider dealership to maximise used car opportunities
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need
- Strong previous used car sales experience – this is essential
- Previous experience managing or supervising a used car sales operation
- Good understanding of used vehicle stock management, pricing and profitability
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a sales team
- Strong understanding of dealership KPIs and sales processes
- Commercially focused with a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication and customer management skills

- Previous Used Car Sales Manager experience
- Main dealer experience
- Experience managing a larger used car stock profile
- Strong knowledge of vehicle valuations, stock turn and margins
- Experience working across multiple franchises
- A proven track record of improving used car department performance
