SALES CONTROLLER
SWINDON | £30,000 BASIC | £55,000 OTE | NO SUNDAYS
A strong Sales Controller opportunity with an established automotive retail business in Swindon, offering a £55,000 OTE and no Sunday working.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Pembrook Resourcing is recruiting a Sales Controller for an established automotive retail operation.
This is a great opportunity for a high-performing car Sales Executive ready to take the next step into a Controller-level position, or an experienced Sales Controller / similar-level candidate looking for a fresh challenge.
The role will suit someone who understands the sales process, has strong commercial awareness and can support a sales team while maintaining control of deals, customer experience and overall sales performance.
The Package Includes
- £30,000 basic salary
- £55,000 OTE
- No Sundays worked
- Established automotive retail environment

THE ROLE
- Support and drive the sales team to maximise performance and conversion
- Control deals effectively and maintain strong commercial discipline
- Help structure profitable customer propositions
- Coach and support Sales Executives through the sales process
- Maintain high standards around customer experience, compliance and process
- Work closely with sales management to deliver volume, margin and finance objectives
- Use strong product, market and customer knowledge to support deal progression
- Manage and progress customer enquiries from initial contact through to sale
- Maximise opportunities across vehicle sales, finance and additional products
- Maintain strong follow-up with existing and prospective customers
- Work collaboratively with the wider dealership team to ensure a smooth customer journey
- Ensure sales activity, customer information and deal documentation are maintained accurately

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
YOU'LL NEED
- Strong current or recent car sales experience
- A proven ability to deliver consistently against sales targets
- Commercial confidence and strong deal awareness
- Excellent customer-handling and communication skills
- The credibility to coach, challenge and support a sales team
- A structured and professional approach to the sales process
- Strong understanding of automotive retail and the customer journey
- The ability to work effectively in a target-driven environment
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence

- Existing Sales Controller, Transaction Manager or similar-level experience
OR
- A high-performing Sales Executive with the experience, maturity and commercial awareness to step up
