WORKSHOP CONTROLLER / SERVICE ADVISOR SUPPORT
CAMBERLEY | £35,000 BASIC | MONDAY–FRIDAY 8AM–6PM | NO WEEKENDS
A strong opportunity for an experienced automotive aftersales professional looking for a workshop-focused role with a great Monday–Friday working pattern and no weekend working.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Pembrook Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Workshop Controller to join an established franchised automotive operation in Camberley.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys controlling a busy workshop, keeping Technicians productive and ensuring jobs progress efficiently, while also being comfortable supporting the Service Advisor and customer-facing function when required.
- £35,000 basic salary
- Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm
- No weekend working
- Established franchised automotive environment
- Workshop Controller / Service Advisor support position
- Strong earning and progression opportunity

THE ROLE
- Control and coordinate the daily workshop workload
- Allocate work effectively across the Technician team
- Monitor job progress, productivity and completion times
- Keep Technicians productive and ensure work progresses to plan
- Liaise closely with Service Advisors and management
- Support the Service Advisor team during busy periods
- Communicate with customers and provide updates where required
- Help resolve workshop and service issues quickly and professionally
- Maintain strong standards of customer service and workshop efficiency
- Ensure jobs are progressed and completed within agreed timescales

You’ll Need
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous Workshop Controller, Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Team Leader or similar aftersales experience
- Strong understanding of workshop operations and Technician productivity
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Confidence dealing with Technicians, Service Advisors and customers
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a busy environment
- Commercially aware and solutions-focused approach
- Professional, reliable and team-focused attitude
- It would be particularly useful if you also have:
- Main dealer or franchised dealership experience
- Previous Workshop Controller experience
- Experience supporting both workshop and front-of-house Service functions
- Strong knowledge of automotive aftersales processes
