Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Working with the Senior Buyer to develop and deliver the knitwear strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Building commercially balanced ranges that drive sales, margin, and profitability.
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating cost prices, lead times, and MOQs.
- Identifying opportunities for new product development through trend research, competitor analysis, and customer insight.
- Presenting ranges, product opportunities, and trade performance to senior stakeholders.
- Taking ownership of category performance, analysing sales data, and implementing actions to maximise opportunity.
- Managing the critical path to ensure products are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Conducting regular competitor analysis, comp shops, and market research to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Working closely with Design, Merchandising, QC, and Production to deliver commercially successful ranges.
- Attending fit sessions and managing product development through to final approval and sign-off.

Skills Required

- Proven experience as a Buyer, Junior Buyer, or Senior Assistant Buyer within knitwear, fashion, or apparel.
- Strong understanding of knitwear construction, yarns, gauges, fabrications, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrable experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating costs.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Experience building and managing product ranges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Passionate about fashion, trends, and product innovation.
