Sylvan Learning Center
Making sure learning clicks for each child isn’t always easy, but it’s exactly what we love. If you share our passion for making learning personal and inspiring kids to thrive, we want to hear from you!
As a part-time Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, 4:1 setting. We offer instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, SAT/ACT Prep, and State exams to students of all levels. There is NO LESSON PLANNING for these students. Our SylvanSync program takes care of that for you.
As a part-time Instructor you will need to be available 4-20 hours/week, between the hours of 3:30-7:30 Monday-Thursday and Saturdays 9:00-1:00. You let us know your availability and we work with that.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
