Knowledge Engineering Leader

About the Role

You lead the complete knowledge engineering scope on our most strategic and complex programs. The role spans end-to-end strategy, architecture, and execution of AI and Knowledge Graph (KG) solutions while fostering innovation and establishing industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive discipline-wide thought leadership in advanced Knowledge Graph, semantic AI, and emerging agentic technologies.
  • Establish core standards for ontology design, evaluation, maintenance, and adoption within programs.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to justify and shape business cases for scalable semantic layer solutions.
  • Lead Accenture’s sales and pre-sales efforts for data transformation programs and Knowledge Graph-enabled offerings.
  • Build and mentor high-performance engineering teams across AI, ontologies, and digital transformation.
  • Foster reusable, cutting-edge assets that advance the practice beyond individual engagements.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to deliver graph-powered solutions for complex, multi-stakeholder programs.

The Work

Core Deliverables

  • Transformational Knowledge Graph Scope: Design, develop, and implement high-impact AI-driven data architectures for Accenture’s most strategic clients.
  • Trusted Advisor Relationships: Strengthen engagements with senior client stakeholders, influencing long-term innovation strategy.
  • Executive Leadership: Present and defend the business case for Knowledge Graph solutions to C-suite and board level.
  • Innovation & Thought Leadership: Drive Accenture’s positioning in new trends (e.g., LLMs, agentic AI) and curbential expertise globally.
  • Cross-Functional Team Alignment: Spearhead global teams (R&D, engineering, sales) across multiple geographies and structures.

Ideal Candidate

Basic (Required) Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with expertise in:
    • Five+ years of experience in Knowledge Graph technologies: Deep proficiency in RDF, SPARQL, Lexicalized Graph Patterns (LPG), SHACL.
    • Ontology & semantic design: Experience curating and managing complex knowledge hierarchies.
    • End-to-end AI/data pipeline development: Hands-on work with KGs, graph-based ML, and enterprise scalable systems.
    • Relational/graph/storage database mastery: Expertise in SQL/NoSQL, relational databases, Stardog, Neo4j, AWS Neptune, vector databases.
    • LLM/Enterprise AI deployments: Successful experience in building and tuning LLM pipelines (including prompt engineering, GPT tuning).
    • Cloud ecosystem: Deploying at enterprise scale in AWS, Azure, or GCP ecosystems.
    • Team leadership: Track record of business-focused technical merchandising and client relationships.
    • Technical writing & strategy: Ability to communicate semantic layer value to business and technical leaders.
  • Leadership track record of mentoring cross-disciplinary teams and delivering data transformation programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant advanced degree (e.g. PhD in Computer Science, Linguistics, or Mathematics), with research in ML, ontology engineering, or cognitive architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with NLP/Prompt Engineering in enterprise-grade systems (LLMs, generative agents, reasoning engines).
  • Broad ML technique stack: Comfortable with supervised, unsupervised, and generative/agentic approaches, including frameworks like Tensorflow, PyTorch.
  • Proven AI model deployment within global scale for enterprise consumption, including dอร์ CtR infrastructure and workflows (Apache Airflow, NiFi).
  • Experience in consulting/enterprise architecture, with client-facing service delivery.
  • Deep expertise in industry-tailored Knowledge Graph solutions (e.g., healthcare, pharma, finance, retail).
  • Ability to collaborate asynchronously across engineering DBAs, researchers, and development teams in a global hybrid model.
