Knowledge Graph Delivery Lead

Inside IR35 - Up to £1500 per day

Hybrid in Central London

We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Graph Delivery Lead to take ownership of a large-scale enterprise Knowledge Graph programme. The role will coordinate teams across data architecture, ontology, data engineering, graph engineering, business analysis and platform delivery, ensuring successful delivery against business and technical objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record delivering complex data, knowledge or information management programmes, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams in enterprise environments. Knowledge Graphs, graph databases and Neo4j experience are highly desirable, particularly within Financial Services or other regulated industries.

This is a highly customer-facing leadership role, requiring excellent stakeholder management, communication and programme delivery skills.

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the Knowledge Graph programme, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, quality and business outcomes.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across architecture, ontology, data engineering, graph engineering and business functions.
  • Establish delivery plans, governance, reporting, risk management and programme controls.
  • Manage dependencies across technology teams, business functions and workstreams.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with architecture, data governance, security and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge Graph & Data

  • Lead delivery of complex Knowledge Graph and data engineering initiatives.
  • Coordinate delivery of graph platforms, data models, ontology frameworks and data integration solutions.
  • Work closely with Architects and Technical Leads to translate designs into successful delivery.
  • Drive consistent delivery practices across data, graph, AI and analytics workstreams.
  • Oversee testing, deployment, environments and release planning.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as the primary delivery contact for senior client and business stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across business, technology and programme leadership.
  • Lead steering committees, governance meetings and stakeholder workshops.
  • Clearly communicate progress, risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans.
  • Manage expectations across complex and evolving programmes.

Governance & Risk

  • Establish effective programme governance, reporting and assurance processes.
  • Identify and manage delivery risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are maintained within regulated environments.
  • Drive timely decision-making and resolution of programme issues.
  • Support audit, compliance and programme assurance activities where required.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate multidisciplinary delivery and technical teams.
  • Coordinate Architects, Engineers, Analysts and third-party partners.
  • Encourage strong collaboration between business and technical teams.
  • Promote accountability, quality and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

Delivery Leadership

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise data, knowledge or information management programmes.
  • Strong track record delivering complex technology and data transformation initiatives.
  • Extensive programme/project management experience across Agile, hybrid or traditional environments.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering and business functions.

Experience delivering solutions involving:

  • Knowledge Graphs
  • Neo4j or similar graph technologies
  • AI and advanced analytics
  • Cloud-based data platforms

Industry

  • Experience delivering programmes within highly regulated environments.
  • Financial Services / Investment Banking experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of risk, regulatory, compliance and governance requirements.
  • Experience within Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Telecommunications, Healthcare or Government is advantageous.
