About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with clients and fee-earners to understand their needs and deliver high-impact, curated thought leadership and knowledge resources. A central part of the role involves horizon scanning across the legal, regulatory, and market landscape and translating developments into actionable insights for both the practice and our clients, liaising with industry associations and regulatory bodies to help shape the firm’s engagement on key regulatory developments. The role will also be instrumental in transforming the FinTech practice into an AI-first practice, championing the adoption of AI tools and innovative technology across all aspects of the team's work. The role will be located in our London office and may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Engaging directly with clients and fee-earners to understand their priorities and deliver tailored knowledge, insight, and thought leadership that addresses their needs
- Conducting horizon scanning across legal, regulatory, and market developments for the FinTech practice and informing attorneys and clients of important developments through curated client alerts, emails, bulletins, training, or other appropriate means, ensuring the firm's profile remains at the forefront of the FinTech market
- Driving the transformation of the FinTech practice into an AI-first practice by championing the adoption of AI tools and innovative technology, working closely with the wider Knowledge Management team, the Legal Innovation team, AI Services Attorneys, and other Technology & Information Services colleagues to embed these into the practice's workflows
- Liaising with industry associations and regulatory bodies, including reviewing and drafting responses to consultation papers and other policy initiatives, and helping to shape the firm's engagement on key regulatory developments
- Participating in external forums with members of the wider legal community and external service providers in order to keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments
- Drafting, maintaining, and curating knowledge resources and supporting substantive training efforts as needed for the practice
- Generally acting as a sounding board for ad hoc legal and technical queries from attorneys
- Interacting with Research Services, Business Development, Brand & Communications, and other administrative departments on a knowledgeable and professional level

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
