About the Role
You'll build the microservices behind Salmon's core banking products — reliable, scalable systems supporting how millions of Filipinos manage their money.
What You'll Do
- Build scalable microservices in the JVM environment using Spring Boot, within the Core Banking Development Team.
- Work in an event-driven architecture grounded in domain-driven design (DDD) and eventual consistency.
- Collaborate across engineering to develop and scale Salmon's core banking and partner platforms.

What You'll Own
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable microservices in the JVM environment using Spring Boot.
- Design event-driven services applying domain-driven design (DDD) principles and eventual consistency.
- Build and maintain APIs and services that support core banking products.
- Contribute to internal SDKs and frameworks that streamline how teams build on shared services.
- Integrate with partner platforms and external services at scale.
- Support the development and scaling of banking and partner platforms as Salmon grows.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- 3+ years of software development experience in the JVM environment, with strong Java skills (Kotlin is a plus).
- Experience using Spring Boot in a microservices environment.
- Experience working in an agile setup with continuous deployment and delivery.
- Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and eventual consistency.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration — Docker and Kubernetes preferred — in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge across the team.
