KS1 Primary Teacher – Sunderland
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear
Salary: £140–£160 per day
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible
Education World is currently recruiting for passionate and dedicated KS1 Primary Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Sunderland.
We are looking for teachers who can inspire and engage pupils while creating a positive, supportive classroom environment. Whether you're looking for a new long-term opportunity or flexible supply work, we can offer roles to suit your experience and availability.
The Role
As a KS1 Primary Teacher, You Will:
- Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
- Plan and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
- Follow school policies and maintain high safeguarding standards.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent.
- Experience teaching within KS1.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A commitment to creating positive learning experiences for pupils.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
