Horizon Teachers is working with a friendly, well-led primary school in Harrow to find an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher for a [Year 1 / Year 2] class. The school has a supportive senior leadership team, a strong sense of community and pupils who are keen to learn.
The role
- Plan and teach engaging, well-structured lessons across the KS1 curriculum, with a strong focus on phonics, early reading and maths
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of needs, including pupils with SEN and EAL
- Assess progress and use the results to plan next steps
- Keep the classroom positive and well organised, with clear routines
- Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents

About you
- You hold QTS (essential)
- You have KS1 experience and are confident teaching phonics
- You're warm, organised and a clear communicator
- ECTs are welcome and will be well supported to build their experience
