Long:Term Opportunities
- For those seeking routine and the chance to build strong, supportive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents, we offer fixed:term placements spanning a term or a full academic year. These roles allow you to embed yourself fully within a school community, lead a class team, and drive student progress over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high:quality, engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) that spark imagination, nurture early literacy and numeracy skills, and support foundational learning.
- Create a warm, positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment using supportive behaviour management strategies in line with individual school policies.
- Integrate systematic synthetic phonics (such as Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or Phonics Play) effectively to build early reading and writing confidence.
- Differentiate learning resources and continuous provision activities to support pupils with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or high prior attainment.
- Leave clear, constructive handover notes for regular class teachers when fulfilling day:to:day cover assignments.
- For long:term roles: take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, tracking pupil progress against National Curriculum targets (including Phonics Screening Check preparation), attending department meetings, and participating in parents evenings as required.

What We Look For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or recognised UK teaching qualification).
- Strong curriculum knowledge across Key Stage 1, alongside confidence in delivering early phonics and early math skills.
- Warm, confident classroom management skills and an adaptable, proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly with staff, young pupils, and parents.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness for one).
