KS1 Teacher in Croydon

£39,196 - £58,120 per year. Salary depends on experience and pay scale position, with the maximum applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience. Relevant qualifications are also taken into account.

Start date: 19 October 2026 | full-time, long-term, temporary

Hours: Term time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Help young learners move from sounding out words to reading with confidence. This Key Stage 1 opportunity offers the chance to build strong foundations through clear teaching, practical activities and a classroom where children feel comfortable asking questions. Transparency Education is recruiting for this position in Croydon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Develop phonics, early reading, writing and mathematical understanding
  • Use assessment to identify gaps and adapt teaching
  • Work with support staff and communicate progress to families

Role Requirements

  • UK QTS and a recognised teaching qualification
  • Relevant KS1 experience and secure knowledge of early literacy and numeracy
  • An inclusive approach and effective classroom organisation
  • A commitment to safeguarding and an enhanced DBS check appropriate to the role, or willingness to complete one.
