About the School
City Junior School is an independent, co-educational, academically selective school for 7-11 year olds. The school opened in September 2022 with 75 pupils and now has around 300 pupils in Years 3 to 6.
Unique Aspects of Our School
- Our links to our parent schools, City of London School for Girls and City of London School, where pupils will transition at the end of Year 6 and whose facilities and specialist teachers they share, and to the Corporation of London, and its family of schools.
- Our location in the peaceful surroundings of Gray's Inn, yet with all that London has to offer on our doorstep.
- Our approach to learning which sees our children developing as thinkers, both in the classroom and beyond, and both for themselves and of others. Academic standards are high, and so is the focus on wellbeing. City Junior School is, just like its parent schools, down to earth and unstuffy. We have fun, but we take the business of learning very seriously.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
