KS2 SEMH Teacher | Hillingdon | October Start
Are you an experienced KS2 SEMH Teacher with a passion for supporting children who require a nurturing, patient and understanding approach to education? Are you a Primary Teacher with experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
A welcoming school in Hillingdon is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 SEMH Teacher to join their team from October. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced KS2 SEMH Teacher to make a genuine difference to pupils who may have previously found mainstream education challenging.
As a KS2 SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a small class of approximately 10–15 pupils, made up of children from Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5. The successful KS2 SEMH Teacher will understand that building positive relationships is at the heart of successful teaching. You will need to be someone who can create a safe, supportive and engaging classroom environment where pupils feel valued, understood and motivated to attend school.

The school is looking for a KS2 SEMH Teacher who can combine strong teaching skills with patience, consistency and a good sense of humour. You will need to be confident adapting lessons and approaches to meet individual needs while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning and personal development.

KS2 SEMH Teacher – Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
- Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Adapt teaching and learning to meet individual SEMH needs.
KS2 SEMH Teacher – Essential Requirements
- QTS recognised in the UK.
- Previous experience working in a SEN setting.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Experience teaching at KS2 level.
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
