A warm and supportive primary school in Rochdale is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Primary Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

About The Role

You will take responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons for KS2 pupils in line with the National Curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel supported and motivated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging KS2 lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, working closely with the SENCO and support staff.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Uphold the school's behaviour policy and promote positive behaviour for learning.
  • Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Has experience teaching in a UK primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 Primary National Curriculum.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Passionate, flexible, and committed to raising attainment.
  • Has the right to work in the UK and is available full-time.

Desirable (but Not Essential)

  • Previous experience teaching across KS2.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Strong subject knowledge in core subjects.
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
