Salary: £150–£233 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Are you a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in Taunton and the surrounding areas?

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and committed teachers to work within welcoming and supportive primary schools across the local area. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on pupils' learning and development during the important Key Stage 2 years.

Whether you are an experienced KS2 Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to join schools that value high-quality teaching and learning.

We are recruiting for Year 4/5/6 Supply Teachers for temporary long-term placements, involving:

  • Providing long-term classroom cover depending on school needs
  • Delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment
  • Following school planning and adapting lessons where required
  • Supporting pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing throughout the school day
  • Working closely with school staff to ensure continuity of learning

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS
  • Recent teaching experience or placements within Key Stage 2 settings
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • A positive approach to behaviour management and creating an engaging learning environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex Education
