KS2 Teacher Literacy Specialist Chelmsford
A welcoming and inclusive school in Chelmsford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher with a strong Literacy specialism to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with smaller groups and is passionate about delivering a personalised approach to learning, with a particular focus on developing pupils' literacy skills.
The Role
As a KS2 Teacher, you will:
- Teach a small nurture class within Year 7.
- Take full responsibility for planning, assessment, and pupil progress.
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons with a strong focus on Literacy.
- Support pupils to develop their reading, writing, communication, and comprehension skills.
- Provide strong pastoral support and build positive relationships with pupils.
- Help pupils transition successfully into secondary school.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
- Have a normal teaching timetable with 20% PPA.

What the School is Looking For
The ideal KS2 Teacher will:
- Be a qualified teacher with experience teaching KS2 or lower secondary.
- Have a strong Literacy specialism and passion for developing pupils' English skills.
- Be nurturing, patient, and confident supporting pupils in a smaller setting.
- Have high expectations and a commitment to pupil progress.
- Be passionate about personalised learning and pastoral support.
- Have strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Be legally entitled to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
