Harbury C of E Primary School is a warm, inclusive community where staff and pupils “celebrate equality and diversity each day” and are proud to live out the school vision to “love, learn, grow.” Rooted in our Christian ethos and inspired by “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18), our school is a place where values are lived out daily. Ofsted recognises that “pupils are happy and safe” and that classrooms are “calm, orderly places where pupils listen attentively and settle quickly,” creating a positive environment in which teachers can thrive. Staff are supported by strong leadership, with teachers reporting positively on “the support from leaders to manage their workload and well-being.” With high expectations for achievement, a “rich curriculum,” and a strong commitment to supporting all learners—including highly effective provision for pupils with SEND—Harbury offers a rewarding and purposeful place to teach, grow professionally, and make a real difference.
We have a full-time teacher position at Harbury Church of England Primary School to cover a maternity leave. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, motivated, creative class teacher to join our friendly and inspiring team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
