Salary

£40,372 – £59,864 per annum (M1 – UPS3)

Salary will be determined based on experience and placement on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £59,864 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to UPS3.

Hours of Work

8.30am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only).

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of an ambitious, welcoming primary school in Lambeth for a confident KS2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term temporary basis, with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school prides itself on a broad, creative curriculum and high expectations for every pupil. You will be joining a collaborative year group team, with access to well-planned schemes of work and strong support from senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Setting high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement
  • Using assessment data to inform planning and target support effectively
  • Preparing pupils for statutory assessments where relevant to your year group
  • Working collaboratively with parallel class teachers and support staff
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Contributing to whole-school events, clubs and wider school life

Requirements

To be eligible for this role and the stated rate of pay, applicants must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A collaborative, can-do approach to working within a year group team
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
