Full time/Part time: Full time, 8am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: From £113.94 per day
Start Date: 7th September 2026
Expected end date: 23rd July 2027
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children throughout their primary education?
We are currently partnering with a friendly and supportive primary school in Openshaw that is seeking a committed KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident TA to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally while playing an important role within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning across the KS2 curriculum.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support pupils who may require additional help.
- Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider classroom activities.
- Help maintain a positive, safe and well-organised classroom environment.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
- Support pupils with their social and emotional development where required.
- Contribute to lesson preparation, classroom activities and general teaching assistant duties.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working within a primary school, ideally supporting KS2 pupils.
- Experience supporting individuals and small groups within a classroom environment.
- A good understanding of the needs of primary-aged children and the KS2 curriculum.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
- A patient, caring and positive approach to supporting pupils.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability, flexibility and a genuine passion for education.
