About Steward

Steward is fundamentally changing the way that AML/KYC works in private markets. What was once a 3+ month process to close an investor onboarding can now be done in clicks. Steward’s AI-first product automates away the numerous email chains, manual document reviews and disconnected systems into one contextualised operating system.

Steward was founded by Arik Oslerne and Moshe Lieberman and was recently backed with a $5M round led by Motive Partners and Outward VC, with participation from Cooley and prominent angels. Our clients include £100bn+ asset managers, global fund administrators, broker-dealers, and banks.

Why join

  • Impact the product. The edge cases you find and the ideas you have shape what we build.
  • Close to the founders. Work hand-in-hand with exceptional, exited founders.
  • Inside the AI shift. Leverage AI to change compliance first-hand, not from the sidelines.
  • Every case is unique: Trusts, family offices, feeder funds and offshore vehicles.

The role

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to be the steward of our clients. Reviewing and providing quality assurance of investor files and checking that the outputs meet the acceptance criteria. You will work closely with leading fund managers and other clients to navigate complex onboardings, high-risk decisions and map out new onboarding workflows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will work very closely with the Product team, innovating and testing new features and being part of the development cycle.

This is a hands-on analyst role, for someone who likes getting things done!

What you'll do

  • Check AI-assisted KYC and KYB analysis against source documents: ownership, document requirements, screening and risk
  • Work through trusts, limited partnerships, foundations, family office vehicles, feeder funds and offshore SPVs to find the beneficial owners and controllers
  • Review PEP, sanctions and adverse media results and make clear, defensible decisions
  • Support EDD on higher-risk investors, including source of wealth and source of funds
  • Flag errors and edge cases, and work with Product and Engineering to fix them
  • Help fund managers and administrators understand what a file needs and why
  • Support periodic reviews and ongoing monitoring
  • Stay current on UK AML, sanctions and beneficial ownership rules, and learn the other jurisdictions our customers work in

What you bring

  • 2+ years in KYC, AML or investor onboarding, ideally at a fund administrator, PE, Fintech or Private Bank
  • Real fluency in complex structures. Put a trust deed, LPA or share register in front of you and you can work out who owns and controls what
  • Hands-on CDD and EDD, including UBO identification and screening review
  • Working knowledge of AML rules and regulations
  • Healthy scepticism - you back your ideas with evidence
  • Clear writing - your rationale would make sense to a client, an MLRO or an auditor
  • Curiosity about AI
  • Happy in a startup where processes are still being built
