The Opportunity
We're seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and analytical KYC & Compliance Analyst to join Ledn's Compliance team in the UK, working as part of our global AML Operations team supporting all of Ledn’s licensed entities and reporting to the Director of AML Compliance.
In this role, you'll be responsible for executing and continuously improving Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes to ensure that Ledn continues to meet the highest regulatory standards both in the UK and globally. You'll help safeguard our platform by conducting customer due diligence, monitoring transactions, and supporting ongoing compliance initiatives, and will assist with regulatory filings and audits.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys investigative work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well in a team and is passionate about financial crime prevention and compliance in the digital asset space. You’ll get exposure across multiple licensed entities and jurisdictions, work with modern compliance tooling and AI, and have genuine scope to shape how a fast-growing digital asset business builds its financial crime controls.
About the Role
Client Onboarding & Due Diligence
- Review and verify customer information for individuals and businesses as part of onboarding, periodic reviews, and event-driven reviews.
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk clients.
- Validate documentation for identity, beneficial ownership, source of funds, and proof of address.
- Ensure compliance with Ledn's internal policies and external AML/CFT regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer data in compliance systems and CRM tools.

Compliance Monitoring & Reporting
- Support ongoing monitoring of customer accounts and transactions for unusual or suspicious activity.
- Escalate potential red flags and assist in the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Collaborate with the broader Compliance team on investigations and regulatory audits.
- Support risk assessments and testing of compliance controls to ensure continuous improvement.
Process, Policy, and Team Support
- Assist in implementing and maintaining KYC/AML procedures and compliance frameworks, adapting to evolving regulations across jurisdictions.
- Support Ledn’s authorisation application and ongoing readiness under the UK's forthcoming cryptoasset regime.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Client Success, Product and Operations) to ensure compliance is embedded in business workflows.
- Contribute to internal documentation, process optimisation, and training initiatives.
- Stay current on regulatory developments, industry best practices, and crypto compliance trends (including FATF standards and guidance from the FCA, JMLSG, OFSI, FinTRAC and OFAC across the jurisdictions we operate in).
What You Bring to Ledn
- 2–4 years of experience in KYC, AML, or compliance, preferably in crypto, fintech, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, customer due diligence, sanctions screening, regulatory reporting and audits.
- Familiarity with crypto products (Bitcoin, stablecoins, etc.) and UK and international crypto regulatory requirements, including the FCA’s existing anti-money laundering, financial promotions and Travel Rule requirements, the UK’s forthcoming cryptoasset regime under FSMA, and relevant FATF standards.
- Experience with compliance or onboarding platforms (e.g., ComplyAdvantage, Persona, SumSub, Onfido), blockchain analytics tools (e.g., TRM Labs, Chainalysis, Elliptic) and Travel Rule solutions (e.g. Notabene).
- A strong interest in, and hands-on experience with, using AI to enhance compliance processes (e.g., to accelerate CDD research, summarise investigations, draft documentation, or reduce manual review effort).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive and can-do attitude with a passion for excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, high-growth environment and collaborate across time zones.
- Weekend cover is shared across the AML Operations team on a rota so weekend availability is a regular part of this role, with time off in lieu taken during the week.
- Certification in AML or compliance (e.g., ICA Certificate/Diploma in AML, ACAMS).
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background checks, where relevant and in accordance with UK law.
