Schedule: Full-Time | Fixed 12-Hour Shift
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Viskase Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrician “A” to join our Electrical Maintenance team in Loudon. This position plays an important role in keeping our facility and production equipment operating safely and reliably through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and support of industrial electrical and control systems.

What You’ll Do
As an Electrician “A,” you will:
- Perform scheduled maintenance work orders and respond to plant maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and replace electrical components, including motors, relays, overloads, cables, switches, sensors, and variable-speed drives.
- Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial control systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot programming, hardware, networking, and communications.
- Diagnose industrial control system hardware and software problems and perform corrective actions.
- Assist with industrial control system projects and implementations.
- Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Support internal plant projects and control system upgrades.
- Calibrate instrumentation equipment.
- Troubleshoot control panels using relay logic, process control valves, and pneumatic control systems.
- Interface with and troubleshoot motor starters, run relays, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo motors and controls, DeviceNet, and ControlNet.
- Connect to PLCs, read ladder logic, perform PLC programming, and diagnose hardware and software issues.
- Follow established quality programs, policies, and practices to help ensure materials meet product specifications and quality-system requirements.
- Perform work in accordance with established safety procedures and Safety Cardinal Rules.
- Perform other assignments as directed.

What You’ll Need
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following experience pathways:
- 4 years of industrial electrical experience, OR
- Completion of an apprenticeship program plus 2 years of industrial electrical experience, OR
- Completion of a vocational school industrial electrical program plus 2 years of industrial electrical experience.
Technical Skills
Successful candidates should be prepared to work with industrial electrical and control systems, including:
- Allen-Bradley PLCs
- PLC programming and ladder logic
- Industrial control systems
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Servo motors and controls
- Motor starters and relays
- Instrumentation and calibration
- Process control valves
- Pneumatic control systems
- DeviceNet and ControlNet
- Electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance

Work Environment & Schedule
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position requiring activities that may include sitting, walking, standing, climbing, pushing, pulling, and using stairs, ladders, and lifts. Work may take place in various plant environments.
Candidates must be able to work overtime before or after normal starting times and on weekends as required. Consistent satisfactory performance, good attendance, and adherence to company policies and procedures are required.
