As a Lab Specialist - Stimulation, you will perform laboratory testing, sample analysis, equipment maintenance, and data interpretation activities to support stimulation technologies and product development initiatives. You will collaborate with technical experts, engineers, and laboratory teams to ensure accurate testing, maintain laboratory standards, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
As a Lab Specialist - Stimulation, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting laboratory testing, sample collection, processing, and analysis while ensuring compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal requirements, and laboratory procedures.
- Reviewing laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), recommending improvements, and ensuring testing activities are performed safely and accurately.
- Recording, managing, and maintaining laboratory data within designated databases while ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Inspecting, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory equipment, escalating issues when necessary and supporting equipment reliability.
- Supporting the design and execution of testing programs and protocols to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Analyzing and interpreting laboratory results, preparing reports, and communicating findings to supervisors, technical teams, and customers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on technology development, field testing, deployment activities, Root Cause Analysis investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coaching and supporting junior laboratory personnel while contributing to special projects, cross-product line learning opportunities, and additional product line requirements.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrate experience in laboratory testing, sample preparation, data analysis, and test equipment operation.
- Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Be capable of working independently on routine and moderately complex assignments.
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively within a team environment while supporting junior colleagues.
- Show a commitment to quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

- Experience supporting stimulation technologies and laboratory testing programs.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with data analysis, interpretation, and technical reporting.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to contribute to new technology development and field deployment activities.
