This Role supports Customer Quality, Quality & Engineering Groups, Manufacturing Operations in the investigation of Customer complaints, Production issues, Customer product testing, and customer qualification of new manufacturing plants and new materials. The role also involves assisting Group Coatings with qualification of New materials which includes current projects and the implementation of long term projects for CTS and Customer qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing new products from customers for compatibility with our packaging to enable shelf-life determination
- Investigative analysis and reporting of consumer complaints
- Failure analysis and reporting
- Evaluation of new materials for coating of cans and ends
- Analysis and reporting to support development projects within the sector
- Maintenance of a safe working environment within the laboratory and to comply with the safety guidelines set out
- Development of test methods for specific tests
- Supporting global engineering group projects / trials

What Are We Looking For?
- Degree in Chemical Sciences or a closely related scientific discipline
- Theoretical and practical experience gained through degree
- Any experience with laboratory analytical equipment such as ICP-OES, IC & IC Titration, EIS, FT-IR, and SEM/EDX
- Fluent in English
Desirable:
- Exposure to electrochemical analysis techniques
- Some relevant industry experience
