Job Description:

This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

Role Synopsis

This leadership role sits within Europe Marketing's Product, Brands & Communications team, which has end-to-end accountability for products across Europe. Reporting to the Head of Product, Brands & Communications, you will lead labelling operations across Automotive and Industrial portfolios, ensuring labels are accurate, compliant and delivered on time while driving greater consistency, efficiency and standardisation across the function.

Operating in a complex, multi-country environment, you will oversee outsourced labelling teams, manage key supplier relationships, lead regulatory and portfolio change programmes, and ensure labelling requirements are successfully delivered across multiple product lines, languages and markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, improving operational performance and influencing across functions to build a future-ready labelling capability.

Key Accountabilities

Lead Labelling Operations

  • Provide leadership, direction and prioritisation for outsourced Automotive (7) and Industrial (2) labelling teams.
  • Oversee workload planning, resource allocation and capacity management across current and future demand.
  • Identify delivery risks and implement plans to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure all product labels align with applicable regulations and bp standards.

Manage Suppliers and Budgets

  • Lead relationships with key external partners, including artwork agencies, outsourced service providers, print plate suppliers and digital platform partners.
  • Define and manage service levels, delivery expectations and performance measures.
  • Support contract management, issue resolution and continuous service improvement.
  • Manage operational budgets in partnership with the Head of Product, Brands & Communications.

Deliver Projects and Regulatory Programmes

  • Lead major regulatory, compliance, customer private label and portfolio change initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into clear plans, timelines, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Assess labelling impacts and advise customers on achievable delivery timelines.
  • Represent the labelling function in product governance forums, ensuring appropriate planning and decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
