Job Description

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week - Monday to Saturday 09:00 till 13:00.

  • Prepare samples for analysis using the current laboratory protocol.
  • Receiving, unpacking, and sorting patient samples.
  • Dispose of general and clinical waste, including sharps, and ensure workbenches are clean and tidy.
  • Scan and archive patient request forms, section logs, etc.
  • Assist MLAs with daily reception tasks as needed.
  • Maintaining work area clean and clear to an acceptable standard.
  • Adhering to SOP’s, work instructions, and Quality Management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO 15189 at all times ensuring good laboratory practice (GLP) is followed.
  • Reporting any non-conformances or near misses using local and company QMS and health and safety systems.
  • Adhere to the laboratory Health and Safety procedures to ensure maintaining safe practice for the workplace, yourself, and other staff.
  • Communicating effectively to team members to ensure a smooth flow of work through the laboratory process.
  • Working in accordance with Eurofins values of customer focus, competence, and team spirit, quality, and integrity.
  • Receiving and receipting stock when needed.

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level maths and English, or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills both spoken and written.
  • Good computer and keyboard skills, plus knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedure.
