πŸ”¬ Laboratory Manager – Embryology | UK Fertility Clinic

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK fertility clinic for an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead their embryology service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior embryologist ready to step into a leadership role, or an existing Lab Manager looking for their next challenge with a clinic that's investing heavily in quality, technology and team development.

🧬 The Role
As Laboratory Manager, you'll take day-to-day ownership of the embryology laboratory β€” balancing hands-on clinical duties with operational leadership, regulatory compliance and team development. You'll be a key member of the clinic's Senior Management Team, working closely with the Clinic Director and Lab Director/CSO to drive service standards and outcomes for patients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing routine lab operations in line with SOPs, COSHH and the HFEA Code of Practice
  • Managing stock, equipment inventory and capital expenditure planning
  • Leading cryostorage management and consent/disposal processes
  • Supervising, training and mentoring embryology scientists and support staff
  • Acting as Quality Lead β€” driving audits, inspections and continuous improvement
  • Supporting incident investigation and regulatory reporting (HFEA, Datix)
  • Managing staffing levels, recruitment and performance development within the team
  • Contributing to research projects and service development initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
