Chromatography Laboratory Operations Manager
At Campden BRI, we offer commercial analytical laboratory chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Chromatography Department
- Maintain excellent service levels for clients/members
- Support the Team Manager in efficient resource allocation
- Manage the equipment and assets of the department
- Manage costs and support the department in meeting financial metrics
- Working with co-ordinators to oversee daily chromatography laboratory operations
- Review and improve existing workflows and operational efficiency

What we’re looking for
- Experience of leading laboratory operations in a chromatography laboratory including experience in managing team supervisors / co-ordinators
- Wide experience of chromatography techniques within a food testing environment including but not limited to GC-MS-TOF, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, HS-GC-MS & GC-MS
- Understanding of the analytical and quality requirements for the analysis of contaminants and nutritional components
- Demonstrate experience in the application of continuous improvement principles to deliver operational improvements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experienced in the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard
- Science related degree (Chemistry degree would be an advantage)
