The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role managing the day-to-day microbiology laboratory. You'll lead the team, keep work moving in a fast-paced environment, and step into practical laboratory activities when needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support a small team of people, overseeing day-to-day laboratory activity and workload.
- Ensure microbiology testing across environmental and medical device work is delivered effectively in a fast-paced contract testing environment.
- Remain hands-on within the laboratory, supporting the team directly and stepping into operational work when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous people management experience, with the confidence to lead and develop a laboratory team.
- A strong microbiology background with practical laboratory experience.
- A hands-on, adaptable approach and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
