Job Description
Looking for a role where you can be at the heart of the lab and keep everything running smoothly?
We’re looking for a Lab Stores Technician to join our team in Ellesmere Port. This is a great opportunity for someone organised, proactive, and happy working in a fast-paced environment supporting laboratory operations.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing the receipt, booking in, and storage of laboratory samples and equipment
- Ensuring items are tracked accurately and are easy to locate when needed
- Supporting the lab by retrieving samples quickly and efficiently
- Carrying out stock checks and ordering consumables to maintain supply levels
- Liaising with internal teams and customers regarding deliveries and queries
- Supporting the safe dispatch of samples, including those under Dangerous Goods regulations
- Disposing of petrochemical products once testing is complete
- Helping maintain high standards across quality, safety, and service delivery
Qualifications
What we're looking for
- Grade C or above in Math's and English GCSE
- Confident communicator who can work well with different teams
- Able to manage workload and prioritise in a busy environment
- IT literate and comfortable using systems and Microsoft Office
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- Experience in a laboratory, stores, warehouse, production, or service environment is beneficial
- Experience operating a forklift truck and/or holding a valid forklift licence would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence is essential

- Based on-site in Ellesmere Port
- Full training provided, including for specialist areas such as sample dispatch
- Ideal for someone who enjoys structure, teamwork, and hands-on work
